Roy Bowman Joins Thompson Coburn LLP

St. Louis, June 6, 2005 - Roy G. Bowman has joined Thompson Coburn LLP as of counsel in the Transportation and International Commerce Practice Group in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Bowman recently retired from American Automar and its affiliated company APL Ltd., a container transportation and logistics provider. He served as Government Affairs Vice President for APL and Executive Vice President and General Counsel for American Automara ship-owning company providing U.S.-flag sealift services to the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies. During this period he was involved in the reauthorization of the Maritime Security Program, The Singapore Free Trade Agreement, The U.S.-China Maritime Bi-lateral Agreement and the Enactment of the Tonnage Tax Regime applicable to U.S. Flag ships.

Mr. Bowman holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia and a B. Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
