An article co-authored by Stephanie Anne Lipinski Galland, of counsel in the tax practice of the firm's Washington, D.C. office, appeared in the Spring 2007 issue of The Practical Tax Lawyer. Titled “What You Need to Know About Recent Changes to the Concept of ‘Trust Income’ Under State Law and the Code,” the article provides a general overview of the mechanics of trust accounting income and why the Internal Revenue Code has revised its treatment of trust income.
