Thompson Coburn LLP and the Chicago law firm of FagelHaber LLC will merge to create a major presence in two of the region’s largest business centers.

The merger will create a 330-lawyer firm, and give Thompson Coburn a significant presence in the Chicago legal market. FagelHaber and its clients will benefit from having access to a broader range of practice groups.

The merger is the first for Thompson Coburn since the firm merged with the Intellectual Property boutique firm of Howell & Haferkamp in 2001.
