J. David Duffy Joins Thompson Coburn Fagel Haber

ST. LOUIS, MO—(January 2, 2008) J. David Duffy has joined Thompson Coburn Fagel Haber as a partner in the Business Litigation practice area of the firm's Chicago office. Formerly of Mandell Menkes LLC, Mr. Duffy has significant jury and non-jury trial experience involving both civil and criminal matters in federal and state courts in different parts of the country. Mr. Duffy has a broad range of litigation experience that includes product liability defense, information technology, employment law, consumer class action, director and officer liability insurance coverage, and defamation. Most recently Mr. Duffy has defended thousands of product liability claims filed against a major manufacturer in the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Mr. Duffy holds a J.D. from Emory University School of Law and a B.A. (cum laude) from the University of Tulsa.

During law school, Mr. Duffy was a Special Teams Member of the Emory University Moot Court Society and an Articles Editor for the Emory University Bankruptcy Developments Journal. He is a member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and is admitted to practice in Georgia and Illinois.

A member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, Mr. Duffy is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation and Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice sections, and an associate member of the Civil Practice and Procedure Council of the Illinois State Bar Association.
