We are pleased to announce that Daniel Duff has joined the firm’s Washington, DC office as Of Counsel in the Transportation and International Commerce group. After serving as Chief Counsel and Vice President of Government Affairs at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), Dan is working with the Mass Transit practice where he will continue to focus on federal legislative and regulatory matters involving public transportation. At APTA, he represented the association on Capitol Hill and before Federal agencies of the Transportation Department on Federal regulatory issues and national legal matters. He was also involved in advocacy, outreach and communications activities focusing on Federal transportation legislation.

Dan’s experience also includes Assistant Chief Counsel of Legislation and Rulemaking at the Federal Transit Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, where he oversaw the legal, regulatory and legislative aspects of the Federal transit program. He worked on new and revised regulations related to Buy America, the role of the private sector in public transportation, safety and security, and ADA, among other areas.
