Thompson Coburn Remembers Partner Rick Jaudes
June 17, 2011
Thompson Coburn mourns the death of our esteemed partner and friend, Rick Jaudes. Rick, the Chair of our Labor and Employment Law Group, will always be fondly remembered for his leadership, compassion and generosity. Our entire firm’s thoughts and prayers are with Rick’s family during this time of loss.
Rick joined the firm in 1997 after practicing for over 20 years with Peper, Martin, Jensen, Maichel and Hetlage, where he served as Managing Partner for three years. Rick also served in the United States Navy’s Judge Advocate General Corps and was a Commander in the United States Naval Reserve.
During the course of his long career Rick was widely recognized as one of the leading practitioners in his field. He was included in Best Lawyers in America® for 10 years, and Chambers & Partners named him as a first tier labor and employment lawyer in St. Louis from 2005 through 2011. Rick also served on the Board of Directors of Baldor Electric Company from 1999 through 2011. He was active in many charitable and civic endeavors, including the St. Louis Symphony, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the American Bar Association. Rick was a cum laude graduate of the Saint Louis University School of Law, and received his undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University with honors as well.
All of us at Thompson Coburn extend our heartfelt condolences to Rick’s family, his many friends and all of those whose lives he touched.
