Kristine Bridges Elected President of WLA

Kristine Bridges, an associate in Thompson Coburn’s Railroad Litigation practice, was recently sworn in as president of The Women Lawyers' Association of Greater St. Louis (WLA). Her term began on September 8, 2011, when Past WLA president and U.S. District Court Judge Audrey G. Fleissig swore in the Board of Directors. Kristine’s term will last for one year.

WLA, established in 1976, promotes and supports women in obtaining positions of influence and leadership within their workplace, the legal profession, the judiciary and the community. The organization works to raise awareness of and fight biases against women within the community at large, the legal profession and under the law, and provides volunteer and advocacy opportunities related to issues affecting women. WLA members include judges, business leaders, politicians and lawyers from firms of all sizes.
