Thompson Coburn LLP earned first tier rankings nationally and in St. Louis in the U.S. News – Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings announced Nov. 1.
The firm, which includes offices in Chicago, St. Louis, Washington, D.C. and Southern Illinois was ranked in the first tier nationally in the following areas:
• Admiralty & Maritime Law
• Patent Litigation
• Trusts & Estates Litigation
• Railroad Law
The firm also earned the most first tier rankings – a total of 52 – of any firm in St. Louis.
The rankings were compiled from an in-depth, extensive survey including 52,480 law firm clients, 43,900 lawyers, 4,636 law firm professionals and more than 4,000 associates and summer associates. A total of 1,859 law firms participated in the survey, as well as clients from every Fortune 100 company and 587 Fortune 1000 companies. Firms participating in the survey were ranked on expertise, responsiveness, understanding clients’ businesses and needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, integrity, number of attorneys, diversity and a host of other factors.
