Congratulations to the new Thompson Coburn partners

Thompson Coburn is proud to announce that the firm has elected the following attorneys to partnership: Amanda Hettinger, Brian Hockett, Meg McNaul, and Jarrod Sharp. They have joined the partnership effective Jan. 1, 2012.

Amanda Hettinger practices in the firm’s Business Litigation and Class Action groups. She handles complex commercial matters including defending Fortune 100 companies against consumer fraud class actions, tax class actions, business torts, and contract disputes. She has successfully argued motions in state court, drafted briefs securing the dismissal of multi-million-dollar lawsuits in federal court and mediated consumer fraud class actions. Amanda earned her J.D. (Order of the Coif) from the University of Illinois College of Law.

Brian Hockett practices in the firm’s Financial Restructuring group. Brian's practice focuses on protecting and advancing the financial interests of secured creditors, unsecured creditors, and debtors in all aspects of debtor-creditor relationships, including workouts, litigation, and bankruptcy. Brian graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Law magna cum laude.

Meg McNaul practices in the firm’s Utilities Law group. Meg represents municipal utilities before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and in the federal appellate courts. Her regulatory practice primarily involves electric transmission policy, rates and compliance with national standards for electric reliability. Meg earned her law degree from Washington University School of Law.

Jarrod Sharp represents lenders, operating businesses and developers in all types of commercial finance and real-estate-related finance transactions. In most cases, the transactions include several sources of equity and debt and incentives like tax credits, tax increment financing, tax exempt bonds and real property tax abatement. He also represents businesses and developers in the acquisition and sale of real and personal property and the development and leasing of commercial real estate. Jarrod graduated cum laude from the Saint Louis University School of Law.
