As former in-house counsel to some of Chicago’s most prominent hospitals, Joan Lebow has extensive experience leading a wide variety of commercial transactions and corporate and regulatory affairs. She has particular experience in health care regulation, with a focus on reimbursement and compliance, data security, software licensing and insurance. Her clients range from international consulting companies, institutional health care providers and physician practices, to entrepreneurial businesses. Her health care and corporate practice includes commercial transactions, regulatory compliance with an emphasis on public and private reimbursement, data privacy and security, clinical operations, the development and protection of intellectual property assets, and software licensing. As former corporate counsel, Joan established the legal department at Illinois Masonic Medical Center and served as assistant general counsel of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She was also general counsel of ibex Healthdata Systems, Inc., of Chicago. Joan earned her law degree from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and her B.A. from Pitzer College in Claremont California.
Nicole Jobe has extensive experience representing and advising skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. As former general counsel for Benchmark Healthcare Management, LLC, in St. Louis, she has participated in numerous health care transactions ranging from operation transfers and real estate financings to health-care receivable financings. She has a broad range of experience in licensing, certificates of need, special focus facilities and provider agreement termination and enrollment. Nicole earned her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law. She also earned an LL.M. in taxation, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma.
