Janette Lohman named to SLU Law’s Hall of Fame Class of 2020

Thompson Coburn LLP partner Janette M. Lohman has been named among Saint Louis University School of Law’s Order of the Fleur de Lis Hall of Fame class of 2020. The distinction represents SLU Law’s highest honor for its graduates and recognizes their professional successes and significant community contributions, inspired by the University's mission and Jesuit spirit.

Janette’s career has included a number of noteworthy achievements, including her tenure as the Director of Missouri’s Department of Revenue serving all of Missouri’s citizens, her decades of service to her clients and colleagues in the private practice of law and public accounting; and her many years of service teaching state and local tax law at SLU Law or Washington University’s School of Law. Janette and the rest of the 2020 Fleur de Lis class will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame on February 7 during a dinner and ceremony.

Janette has over 30 years’ experience practicing in all areas of state and local taxation, including representing clients before state and local taxing authorities in corporate and personal income, sales/use, ad valorem and municipal tax and license fee controversies. She currently serves as the President of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and as the IPT’s liaison to the American Bar Association Section of Taxation’s SALT Committee. Earlier this year, Janette was named a 2020 Lawyer of the Year by The Best Lawyers in America (by BL Rankings) and one of only fourteen female tax lawyers across the country selected to be an Influential Woman in Tax Law by Law360 in 2019.
