Dave practices in the firm's Business Litigation and Banking and Financial Services Litigation practice areas.

He focuses his practice on representing some of the nation's largest financial institutions in complex financial services litigation. Dave regularly defends financial services clients in cases filed in state and federal courts involving consumer protection statutes such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, as well as state consumer fraud statutes such as the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act and the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act.

Dave also has experience representing and advising clients in complex business disputes involving interpretation of service agreements, distribution agreements, and contracts for the sale of goods under the Uniform Commercial Code. Dave is an experienced trial lawyer. Prior to joining the firm Dave worked as an Special Assistant Public Defender in the St. Louis City Trial Office of the Missouri State Public Defenders System. During that time, Dave handled hundreds of criminal matters, advocating on behalf of indigent clients charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. As lead counsel, he tried multiple bench and jury trials to conclusion.
