Bruce is co-chair of the firm's appellate practice and has participated in more than 60 appeals involving a diverse range of subjects, such as products liability, FELA, commercial disputes and constitutional issues. He works with trial counsel before and during trial to assist in the persuasive presentation of legal issues and to properly preserve legal issues for appeal. He is experienced in complex litigation, including toxic tort, environmental and tobacco litigation, at both the trial court and appellate levels. He has argued cases before the Missouri Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, the intermediate appellate courts in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts and Missouri, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Circuits.

Bruce has lectured on appellate, professional responsibility and environmental issues.
