Evan co-chairs the firm's health care practice. Evan's 20 year corporate health care practice involves the general representation of hospitals, health care systems, long term care facilities, physicians, and other related entities. She represents clients in the negotiation of corporate transactions ranging from hospital mergers and acquisitions, to contractual and equity joint ventures, to physician employment agreements and hospital-based physician independent contractor agreements. Evan regularly advises clients on  regulatory compliance issues, including Medicare anti-kickback and Stark, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA, tax-exemption, certificate of need and EMTALA. Evan also assists clients in negotiating settlements of government investigations of compliance matters and also has a broad range of experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate compliance programs.
