In her 18 years as a corporate health care attorney, Evan's practice has involved the general representation of hospitals, health care systems, long term care facilities, physicians, and other health care related businesses. She represents clients in the negotiation of corporate health care transactions ranging from hospital merger and acquisition transactions to contractual and equity joint ventures to physician employment agreements and hospital-based physician independent contractor agreements.  Evan regularly advises clients on health care regulatory compliance issues, including Medicare anti-kickback and Stark, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, HIPAA privacy and security, tax-exemption, certificate of need and EMTALA.  As part of her regulatory practice, Evan also has a broad range of experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of corporate compliance programs and has assisted clients in negotiating settlements of government investigations of compliance matters.
