Fred practices in Thompson Coburn’s Real Estate Practice Group. He has practiced law in the Chicago area since 1991, primarily focusing on local and national product liability and premises litigation. He was national counsel for a major retailer and handled premises and product liability matters throughout the United States and Puerto Rico where he managed and directed litigation of over 100 local attorneys. He has extensive experience in representing clients that own/operate commercial, industrial, special purpose properties and national hotel chains.

He has experience in the real estate tax appeal practice before the various assessors and Boards of Review in Illinois and other jurisdictions for national corporations and hospitality corporations. Fred also works with clients on providing advice on real estate tax consequences on the sale and purchase of complex properties, including shopping centers, hotels, condominium developments and vacant land.  He works extensively with banks in the Special Asset Group to analyze and potentially minimize tax liability.

Fred has volunteered consistently over the years for the Chicago Park District. He developed and directed a youth program and organized and managed a co-ed adult volleyball league. In 1984, he organized and became Chairman of the Angel City Links Alumni Scholarship in Los Angeles.
