His practice is concentrated in various areas of corporate and transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, general corporate representation, and commercial law. Negotiated the sale of an energy finance company for approximately $250 million on behalf of Aquila, Inc.
Represented Aquila, Inc. in its sale of a portfolio of independent power plant (IPP) assets for approximately $300 million
Negotiated the sale of a regional supermarket chain for $50 million
Served as counsel to UtiliCorp United Inc. in connection with its sale of a Canadian retail electricity business for approximately $75 million
Negotiated the sale of a private equity-controlled telemarketing firm for in excess of $150 million
Represented investors and start-up companies in numerous venture capital financings ranging in size from $1 million to $15 million
