Jack L. Parrino

Jack L. Parrino practices in Thompson Coburn’s Real Estate and Construction Law Practice Areas. He practices on a local and national basis, with particular emphasis on:

• Representing landlords and tenants in lease drafting and negotiations for retail, commercial, industrial and office space

• Representing and advising clients on all issues relating to the disposition, acquisition, financing, and development of real estate, including zoning relief and other entitlements

• Representing developers, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers in mechanics’ lien and bond claim matters and construction contract disputes

Real Estate Transactions

• Represented local real estate investment and development company in various IRC 1031 exchange transactions, including replacement property acquisitions of various investment properties throughout the Midwest.

• Represented one of the largest privately held companies in the United States in national real estate transactions and national acquisitions and dispositions of its subsidiaries.

• Represented major industrial/manufacturing company in various sales, subdivisions, and leasebacks of several facilities across the United States.

• Represented national retailer in the negotiation of leases for various first class shopping centers throughout the United States.

• Represented the seller in the sale of a large suburban shopping center consisting of a substantial number of national and local retail tenants.

Construction, Zoning, and Licensing Matters

• Represented major national construction contractors and material suppliers in various mechanics’ lien and bond claim disputes.

• Represented local real estate developer in connection with certain entitlements necessary for the operation and use of its various properties, including obtaining appropriate zoning relief and necessary licenses.
