Jim Dillon practices in the firm’s real estate practice area. He has broad experience representing handling virtually all types of real estate matters, including acquisitions, developments, financings, leasing and workouts of distressed real estate. Jim’s practice involves such diverse assets as retail centers, office buildings, warehouse and industrial sites, hospitals, health care centers, senior living projects, hotels and resorts, wind energy developments and mixed-use developments.
He has extensive experience negotiating leases across the country for both landlords and tenants, principally in the retail, office and industrial context, but also including energy concerns, radio and television stations, data centers, educational institutions, health care facilities, restaurants, billboards and other uses. He has handled multiple large scale sale/leaseback transactions and numerous build-to-suit leases.
Jim also has unique experience in handling health care-related real estate matters, often involving the development or disposition of medical office building and surgery centers which may be affiliated with a hospital system. He also has significant experience representing both borrowers and lenders is sophisticated real estate financings.
