Jim is co-chair of the firm’s appellate practice group. He is also a member of the firm’s business litigation practice group, focusing on insurance coverage litigation and in class actions involving financial institutions and governmental entities. Jim has extensive experience in appellate practice, having briefed and argued more than 100 appeals at all levels of the state and federal court systems. He is a member of the bar of the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth and Federal Circuits Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Jim teaches appellate advocacy at the Washington University School of Law.
