Jason Wheeler is a partner in the firm’s appellate, tobacco litigation and products liability groups.  His practice is centered around defending tobacco, pharmaceutical and consumer product manufacturers in complex personal injury lawsuits in state and federal courts all over the country. Jason has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including responsive pleadings, discovery, evidentiary and substantive motions practice, trial preparation, trial support, and appellate practice.

Jason has experience with a broad range of substantive issues, including RICO Act, products liability, consumer fraud, governmental privileges, federal preemption, medical monitoring, and others. Jason served on the trial teams in the Blankenship litigation, the first-ever medical monitoring class action involving smokers tried to a verdict in the United States, as well as the United States v. Philip Morris litigation, a 10-month trial involving civil RICO claims brought by the Department of Justice against the tobacco industry.
