Leigh Gutting practices human resources law, focusing on the representation of employers in the area of employee benefits. She advises clients about all issues with respect to the design, implementation, qualification and administration of 401(k) plans, welfare plans, cafeteria plans and fringe benefit plans. She has extensive experience in counseling clients regarding compliance with the portability, special enrollment, nondiscrimination, privacy and security rules under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), health plan design (including consumer-driven plans) and COBRA compliance.
Leigh is a former clerk to the Honorable Raymond W. Gruender of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
