Trey has represented clients before state and federal courts in a wide variety of products liability, class action, business litigation and land-rights litigation matters.
Trey has extensive experience representing clients in land-rights litigation matters. These matters have included disputes regarding use of easements, licenses, public utility franchises and public right-of-way issues. Frequently, these matters also involve municipalities and counties. Trey has also represented public utility clients in matters before the Missouri Public Service Commission. He has similarly represented both builder and purchaser clients in construction disputes. Trey also provides advice to clients regarding commercial lease agreements and has represented clients in disputes involving such leases.
Trey also has significant experience representing clients in class-action matters, and frequently, consumer-law related class-action matters. These cases have included national and state class actions concerning fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, breach of warranty and unjust enrichment claims regarding a wide range of products. In particular, Trey has represented clients in consumer-law class-action matters involving many different kinds of motorized products, including motorcycles, lawn mowers, personal watercraft and other similar products.
Trey has also represented clients in products liability matters. These cases have included a wide range of products including personal watercraft, ATVs, power presses, press brakes and other products. Trey has also advised clients with respect to product recalls and Consumer Product Safety Commission regulations and compliance.
Trey has represented clients in business litigation matters, including contract, insurance coverage and commercial lending disputes. Trey has represented Thompson Coburn clients before state and federal trial courts, state and federal courts of appeals, and Trey has briefed matters before the Missouri, Illinois and United States Supreme Courts.
