Shoko practices in the firm's product liability area. She has experience assisting clients in civil litigation, including drafting pleadings and briefs, handling complex discovery, and researching applicable law.
Shoko is currently licensed in the State of New York and Missouri. After graduating from Keio University, majoring in law, she earned her J.D. and LL.M. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. While at Washington University, Shoko clerked for Honorable Robert Dierker in the 22nd Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. She is a native Japanese speaker also fluent in English.
Applying her international experience, Shoko also practices in the Transportation and International Commerce group. She participates in various aspects of custom compliance matters, including classification, origin determination and valuation of imported merchandise. Shoko also assists clients in protest, audit and investigation of compliance issues.
