Tom has maintained a very active trial practice in the Federal and State Courts of Illinois and Missouri. He has tried in excess of 100 civil jury trials as lead attorney in the Federal and State Courts of Illinois and Missouri. He has obtained excellent results on behalf of his clients. Although his practice is primarily concentrated on personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits related to railroad and product liability, he has handled and tried a broad variety of personal injury litigation.
Tom was a member of the faculty of the Illinois Defense Counsel Trial Academy from 1993 - 2001. He was Chairperson of the Trial Academy in 2001. He has been a frequent speaker at professional organizations relating to trial strategy and trial technique including meetings held by the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel.
