Jennifer Baumann

Counsel

St. Louis
314 552 6406 direct

Jennifer manages the large electronic discovery teams that assist Thompson Coburn clients with internal investigations, antitrust, and complex litigation.

She helps clients create effective E-Discovery plans, pinpoint key evidence culled from millions of pages of electronically stored information, and keep up-to-date on the latest court decisions and guidance on federal and state rules governing the collection, preservation, and productions of ESI.

From small employment lawsuits to complex commercial disputes, Jennifer works to develop and execute E-Discovery plans that minimize litigations costs, avoid discovery inefficiencies and comply with the discovery preferences of particular judges. To do this, Jennifer collaborates with clients, vendors, computer and technology specialists, and opposing counsel. She frequently builds and manages legal teams and creates review protocols, which may include various forms of computer-assisted technology, all while maintaining a high level of quality control and meeting key deadlines.

In addition to her general litigation practice, Jennifer also represents clients in immigrations matters, including helping employers obtain H-1B work authorization for foreign national employees.

Jennifer represents clients pro bono in guardianships and adoptions processed through Great Circle and Legal Service of Eastern Missouri. In one recent case, Jennifer helped the foster parents of a severely abused toddler secure permanent guardianship of the child, providing her with a safe and loving home.

Jennifer is a co-organizer of Thompson Coburn's Legal Foundation Series, a series of complimentary legal presentations at the T. REX incubator in downtown St. Louis.
