As Thompson Coburn's Senior Advisor, Environment, Health and Safety, Max provides technical support on remediation and groundwater contamination matters, acquisitions, real estate, transportation and hazard classification requirements, European REACH obligations, greenhouse gases and carbon credits and site compliance environmental assessments.
In addition, Max provides functional support to an informal network of senior EHS professionals from St. Louis area companies.
Max has extensive global experience with proven strategic leadership in all aspects of environment, health and safety (EHS) management for multi-national industrial and specialty chemical manufacturers. Responsibilities included plant compliance, remediation, auditing, mergers, acquisitions, new business integration, Chapter 11 restructuring, alternative fuels, energy management, corporate sustainability, brownfield redevelopment, product stewardship, hazard communications, material safety data sheets, product labels, transportation safety, homeland security, government and public affairs. Max spent almost 10 years in chemical plants and 10 years in public and government affairs to complement his corporate EHS background.
