As a real estate tax assessment practice area assistant, Quianna performs a variety of tasks which include, but are not limited to, contesting real estate tax assessments on behalf of clients by filing complaints with the Cook County Assessor’s Office, the Cook County Board of Review, the State of Illinois Property Tax Appeals Board, and in the Circuit Court in the form of specific tax objections. The properties involved cover the entire spectrum of real estate including Downtown Chicago office buildings, shopping centers, steel plants and other industrial facilities, landfills, motels, nursing homes, apartment buildings, housing projects, condominiums, exempt properties and vacant land and/or ongoing construction projects in need of interim relief. She obtains and analyzes assessment data and prepares forms and supporting documentation. She works closely with various appraisers in obtaining reports when required. Quianna also helps to maintain the department's database and calendars filing deadlines.
