Dr. Steven Schetgen has more than 22 years experience as a medical consultant for the firm. He has addressed a variety of medico-legal issues pertaining to internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology and their respective subspecialties. His work has primarily involved case review/analysis, consultation for deposition and trial preparation, academic medical research and analysis of scientific literature in conformance with case needs and legal theories. He has worked extensively with attorneys on medically-related matters involving toxic torts and product liability claims in tobacco litigation, and in the railroad, environmental, and admiralty law practice group areas focusing upon mitigating claims for damages from a medical defense perspective.
