Renee has extensive experience supporting complex litigation.
She leads document management (analysis and production), docket management, medical record collection (review and summarization), witness support, and exhibit preparation, and has experience in all aspects of trial team support, including attendance at trial.
Before her work with Thompson Coburn's intellectual property practice, she served for nine years as a paralegal in the firm's tobacco litigation group. In this position, Renee developed all the skills necessary to manage high-stakes litigation across a variety of practice areas including product liability, personal injury, medical malpractice, toxic tort, and commercial and workers' compensation cases. Renee was the paralegal responsible for support in a mass tort lawsuit by 28 plaintiffs arising out of a workplace shooting that included claims of wrongful death, personal injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In addition, Renee supervised approximately 15 paralegals, practice area assistants and litigation clerks. She was responsible for staffing projects, managing productivity, providing continuing legal education, and recruiting and interviewing potential hires.
In 2009 Renee was nominated as Paralegal of the Year of the St. Louis Association of Legal Assistants.
