Best Practices and Risk Considerations Relating to Summer Camps on Campus

Webinar

Thompson Coburn’s Higher Education Practice is pleased to announce that the next entry in its Higher Education Webinar Series will explore best practices and risk considerations relating to summer camps on campus. On November 10th, the Practice will offer a 90-minute presentation that will begin with a discussion of the two most common arrangements for camps at institutions of higher education -- the institution sponsoring the camp or the institution leasing space to a third party -- and the benefits and risks to each approach. The webinar then will turn to a discussion of compliance risks and best practices before campers arrive, when campers are present on campus, and after the camp has concluded. Specific issues related to hosting minors on campus will also be addressed.
