Sharif and Suzanne will give attendees an overview of cyber insurance, including how it can help in the event of a breach. They will also touch on what the cyber insurance market looks like.

Melissa, an experienced cyber security breach coach, and Sharif will then lead an interactive panel discussion that will include a mock exercise of the steps to take following a system or data breach. The presentation will demonstrate why companies and organizations must be prepared for attacks on digital assets, and how to respond during a cyber crisis. 

This event is free and attendees are eligible to receive 2.0 Missouri general CLE credits.

Melissa Ventrone: Melissa has led cybersecurity incident response teams in connection with small breaches impacting a few hundred people to larger breaches impacting millions on behalf of merchants, financial institutions, medical providers and educational institutions. Melissa and her team work with clients to preserve evidence, determine a breach's scope, document the response and craft communications that both meet legal requirements and protect a company's brand. She also advises on establishing incident call centers and staff training, in addition to formulating other methods to protect impacted individuals from potentially negative outcomes.

Suzanne Gladle: Suzanne has 30 years of risk and insurance experience having worked in various risk management capacities at Scientific-Atlanta, C&S Corporation (now Bank of America), and BellSouth Corporation where she oversaw the Executive Liability programs and placement and administration for BellSouth's worldwide casualty programs. She started with McGriff in 2000 with a focus on complex risk identification and solution development for privacy liability, network security, and intellectual property and now serves as the divisional director for McGriff's expanding cyber programs. 

Sharif Gardner:  Sharif is the Cyber Unit Training Manager at Novae, a Lloyds of London specialist cyber insurer. He has developed broker and risk manager specific training programmes and regularly runs crisis management workshops internationally. He was previously Head of Training for Cyber at Protection Group International (“PGI”) where he was responsible for the UK’s largest Cyber Security Academy. He also oversaw the design, delivery and GCHQ certification PGI’s internationally recognized training courses. Sharif joined PGI in 2011 and prior to this, he worked as a Project Manager at Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions and was in the Royal Marines.
