Chicago partner Todd Rowden teamed up with Bruce Meitzler, senior investigator with Citigroup Security & Investigative Services, to present “Bank Fraud: Investigations, Civil Litigation and UCC Overview” on July 30 during the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Regional Organized Crime 2013 Training and Conference.
The presentation, which focused on the different types of bank fraud, civil remedies and how the Uniform Commercial Code can aid in related investigations, was given before a standing-room-only crowd of more than 350 people at Hamburger University on McDonald’s corporate campus in Oakbrook, Ill.
The two-day conference featured speakers from the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, Illinois State Police and Department of Homeland Security, among others. Presentation topics included computer forensics, network intrusion, counterfeit goods, e-commerce, asset forfeiture, financial crimes and more.
