With more than 15 years of public policy experience in Washington, D.C., Kristin is a passionate advocate for her clients. She helps clients in all aspects of the policymaking process before Congress and the Administration to ensure their voices are heard. Over the course of her career, Kristin has developed deep subject matter experience in a variety of industries, including e-commerce, education, health care, technology, and telecommunications.
“I have worked with Kristin for more than a dozen years, first in the three congressional offices in which she served, and more recently as a lobbyist on issues of common concern to our clients. She is an outstanding advocate. I respect and admire her intelligence and professionalism. We are thrilled that she has joined our growing team,” stated Ken Salomon, chair of the firm’s Lobbying & Policy practice.
On the Hill, Kristin worked for former Senators Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Conrad Burns (R-MT), both members of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committees, and former Representative Denny Rehberg (R-MT) as Deputy Chief of Staff and Appropriations Associate. Rehberg chaired the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies. Kristin knows both the authorization and appropriations processes from the inside. She has significant experience at the committee-level stage of the legislative process, both in writing the laws that govern federal programs as well as the laws that fund them.
As a lobbyist, Kristin has advised both large and small associations and companies. She is skilled at developing individualized strategies that address her clients’ needs and play to their strengths. Kristin has the long-standing relationships with stakeholders — both inside and outside government — that are needed to implement these strategies.
Kristin earned an M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business; an M.A. in Communications, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University; an M.A. from George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management; and a B.A. in Biology from George Washington University.
