On Wednesday, December 5, Thompson Coburn hosted a half-day seminar, “Legal Considerations for Cannabis Companies,” in our St. Louis office. More than 70 business owners, investors, potential cultivators and dispensaries attended the breakfast seminar, which was put together by Carl Rowley and Joe Kellmeyer.
Covering a number of legal considerations that cannabis-related companies need to consider with the recent passing of Missouri’s Amendment 2 legalizing the sale and use of medical marijuana, the seminar featured 11 presentations on various areas of the law. Also included was a small presentation from John Payne, campaign manager of New Approach Missouri, the group that sponsored Amendment 2 on the November 6 ballot.
