Arnold is a versatile finance attorney who represents financial institutions, investors and borrowers, including banks, venture capital firms and emerging companies across several continents in a variety of financing and acquisition transactions.

Arnold is a member of the firm's Banking and Commercial Finance practice and provides support to the Corporate and Securities group. He has significant experience in project finance transactions and general bank finance transactions including asset-based lending and acquisition finance transactions. He advises lenders, borrowers and sponsors on secured and unsecured lending transactions, single bank and syndicated credit facilities, mezzanine and multi-tranche financings, revolving credit facilities and letters of credit. He also has experience in loan forbearance and modification arrangements, in-court and out-of-court debt restructurings and debtor-in-possession financings.

From a sector perspective, Arnold has gained experience in financial services, energy (including greenfield and brownfield projects), power, infrastructure, sports (including financing of major and minor league franchises), real estate and manufacturing. Arnold also has notable experience in structuring venture capital transactions and advising venture capital firms regarding debt and equity financing of emerging companies in healthcare, consumer goods and retail, productivity, e-trading and TMT (technology, media and telecommunications).

Educated, licensed to practice, and experienced in several continents, Arnold brings his international background and extensive network of contacts to bear when advising on cross border financings and acquisitions involving international lenders or buyers, borrowers or targets with assets in multiple jurisdictions, and foreign law-governed transactional documentation. Before joining Thompson Coburn, he worked as a transactional attorney at two of Africa's leading law firms where he advised on local and cross border finance and M&A transactions. His articles on matters of interest in the financial services industry have been featured in mainstream publications in the United States and abroad. He is passionate about infrastructure development, and mentoring young professionals of African heritage in matters of law and finance.
