Jim focuses his practice on corporate finance, real estate finance, workouts, restructurings, and commercial real estate transactions.
Jim's finance practice experience includes representing national, regional, and local financial institutions and borrowers in secured and unsecured lending transactions, including CMBS, real estate, asset-based and credit-based loans. His real estate lending representation includes hospitality, commercial and residential new construction, office, shopping center, and other retail properties. Most often, Jim counsels clients on multiple party credit arrangements, including senior/subordinated debt structures, first lien/second lien financings, credit tenant loans, securitization, and leveraged lease transactions. Additionally, he counsels commercial lenders and financial institutions in connection with commercial real estate related workouts and restructuring transactions.
Jim's commercial real estate practice includes industrial, retail, office, and multi-family residential development, construction, financing and leasing transactions. He has extensive experience representing industrial property developers, retail property developers, commercial property developers, and residential property developers in all phases of development, including acquisition, disposition, financing, zoning, construction, development, and leasing.
