Jessica represents clients in estate planning, trust administration and probate matters.
She also has extensive experience in the representation of professional fiduciaries in conservatorship matters.
Jessica assists moderate to high net-worth individuals in all aspects of estate planning, from the creation of foundational estate planning documents (wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance health care directives), to the implementation of more sophisticated wealth transfer vehicles and tax-saving strategies. Using her knowledge of estate, gift, generation skipping and income tax law, overlaid by probate and community property law, Jessica works with clients to design and implement an estate planning approach that best serves their needs and minimizes the overall tax impact on the client and their family.
Jessica guides clients and family members through probate and trust administration and is skilled in steering the parties to a creative and equitable resolution while being sensitive to the stress and emotion beneficiaries experience following the death of a family member. She advises the family from the initial notifications of death, marshaling assets, allocating those assets among multiple trusts, resolving any disputes about the division of assets among different family members, and ensuring final distribution. In situations where a will contest, trust dispute or litigation arise, Jessica has extensive experience representing personal representatives, beneficiaries, heirs and creditors in contested probate matters.
Accomplishing the settlor's intent with care, respect and sensitivity, while faithfully protecting her clients' interests, is Jessica's constant objective.
Jessica is also heavily involved in the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She serves in the following capacity:
• Board of Trustees, Director
• Counsel for Justice, Director
• Barristers Section, President
• Trusts & Estates Section, Executive Committee Member
