Josh represents banks, finance companies, and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions and investments. He has experience in private banking transactions, including commercial real estate, insurance premium financing, sports financing, margin stock loans, art loans and acquisition financing transactions.
Some notable transactions that Josh has recently helped close include a $105 million financing secured by a mix of real estate and margin stock loan, a $500 million acquisition financing transaction and several life insurance premium financing deals each in excess of $20 million. Josh also has experience with Public Private Partnership projects, including representing the developer in a $1.3 billion project that was recognized by Thompson Reuters as the "Americas P3 Deal of the Year."
In addition to his finance experience, Josh also has a background in litigation, which helps him analyze contracts from a different perspective and limit risk for clients in their transactions. In his previous litigation practice, Josh primarily represented large corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals in a variety of complex business disputes, consumer class action defense matters, intellectual property cases and employment discrimination claims. He has second-chaired federal court jury trials, actively participated in arbitrations, conducted and defended dozens of depositions, and argued at hearings.
Josh was included in the "Southern California Super Lawyers" Rising Stars list, 2013-Present.
