Ken assists health care clients with a range of transactional and regulatory matters.
He provides support on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other health care transactions, including analysis of change of ownership and licensure issues. Ken also helps health care clients respond promptly to government investigations and allegations of fraud and abuse, and reviews and updates organizational policies and procedures.
Ken supports day-to-day business operations for health care clients, including drafting contracts and providing guidance on the particular requirements of value-based reimbursement models from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Ken uses his knowledge of health care reimbursement and regulatory rules to provide clear, effective counsel to health care clients.
Before starting at Thompson Coburn, Ken worked for several years as an associate for a national health care consultancy that provides valuation services for major health care transactions across the country. In this role, Ken researched and drafted trend reports that supported certified opinions as to the fair market value of various health care assets and services.
