Lauren draws on her extensive background in the health care industry to support clients in a variety of business and regulatory matters.
On behalf of hospitals and health care organizations, Lauren drafts legal documents related to antitrust, bundled payments, informed consent, and HIPAA. She also analyzes state insurance laws governing accountable care organizations, licensure, and third-party administrators.
Before attending law school, Lauren worked for five years as a researcher and data information coordinator for the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. In that role, she performed an array of research and administrative activities related to pediatric oncology clinical trials, and interpreted and applied regulatory and policy requirements to protocols and procedures to ensure FDA adherence. While working for the University of Alabama, Lauren obtained a Master of Public Health in health care organization and policy.
