Resa's work involves identifying actual and potential conflicts of interest between new and existing firm clients and Firm employees, and she works through any ethical issues that may arise.
Resa further utilizes her knowledge of legal/ethical issues to safeguard the Firm's clients and attorneys to ensure planned conduct complies with legal ethical rules and other applicable laws. Resa assists in vetting all new firm staff hires for potential conflicts and sets up any necessary ethical screens. She also collaborates with the Firm's general counsel and assistant general counsel to help ensure newly hired attorneys transition into their roles within the firm smoothly. Resa reviews external marketing content and collateral to maintain compliance with ethical rules.
Prior to joining the Firm, Resa practiced family law in San Diego for four years where she focused on divorce, child custody, and restraining orders. In 2021, she left the litigation and private practice realm and moved to St. Louis with her family while her husband attends Wash U medical school. As a Hawaii local, Resa is slowly adapting to the colder weather, but she enjoys exploring the sites and tasting the flavors of her new home.
