As Chief Operating Officer, Roger leads the business management of Thompson Coburn.
He supervises the efforts of a team of skilled business professionals responsible for the finance, technology, marketing, operations, human resources, and other business functions of the Firm. As the ranking administrative officer, Roger works directly with the Firm Chairman on internal and external business priorities. He is a member of the Firm's Executive and Management Committees and ex-officio to all other Firm committees.
Roger has served in senior leadership roles in law firms for more than 25 years, providing strategic guidance and leadership to firm leaders, lawyers, and all levels of staff. During his career, he has launched offices in new markets; taken a lead role in successful client and business development initiatives; managed numerous office construction and relocation projects; led the development and execution of a variety of growth strategies; initiated critical technology and system conversion projects; negotiated contracts with landlords, lenders, and vendors; and been instrumental in the restructuring of firm retirement plans and compensation systems.
