Steve delivers dedicated, calculated, and practical counsel to his clients -- including global financial institutions, telecommunications and media companies, corporate and individual fiduciaries, secured lenders, real estate developers, and players in international trade -- in all facets of corporate matters, regulatory matters, litigation, pre-dispute resolution, workouts, and restructuring proceedings.
Steve brings to every matter a deep command of his clients' business and goals and a natural competitive spirit that drives a will to achieve the absolute best result in every engagement, no matter the size, venue, or complexity.
Steve's experience is extensive. For more than a decade, he has been called upon in matters throughout the country, from the New York Supreme Court, the Delaware Chancery Court, and the Federal District and Bankruptcy Courts to the New York Court of Appeals, Federal Circuit Courts, and the United States Supreme Court. A reporter by training, Steve dives into every matter to develop a strong command of the facts to build his clients a persuasive and winning narrative.
While in law school, Steve worked for the Hon. Paul A. Crotty of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and Burberry Ltd. Prior to law school, Steve worked on staff at Mother Jones magazine, where he researched and reported on stories of national importance in politics, social justice, civil rights, and internet privacy. He has contributed to Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated, New York, SPIN, and Golf World.
