Wendy Reese serves as risk management counsel at Thompson Coburn, helping to identify and resolve conflicts and minimize risk to the firm.

Before joining the firm, Wendy worked extensively with conflict resolution and onboarding for lateral partners, associates, and professional staff. Wendy began her legal career in 1999 as a solo practitioner focusing on family and appellate law. She handled state and federal trial and appellate work for over 20 years, arguing several cases before the Alabama Supreme Court.

After discovering her passion for risk management, she decided to pursue an LL.M. in Risk Management and Compliance at Texas A&M School of Law.

I enjoy traveling, especially to Europe. It is my life’s dream to go on a safari in Africa. I also cherish spending time with my family, including my Ocicat, who is almost 20 years old. Additionally, I am actively involved with mentoring collegiate women through alumnae involvement with my college sorority.
