Wendy focuses her work with Firm clients on patent prosecution in biotechnology and life sciences, especially in the fields of plant genetics and plant biochemistry.
Drawing on her Ph.D. in molecular biology and almost 20 years of experience in law firms, Wendy counsels clients on a variety of intellectual property issues including patentability and prior art search, strategic portfolio development and due diligence. She also advises clients regarding the filing and prosecution of PCT and foreign national patent applications. She has extensive experience in the areas of molecular biology, cancer biology, immunology, pharmacology, biomedical devices, nanotechnology and array technologies.
Since the start of her patent prosecution career in 1997, Wendy has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in the fields of biotechnology and biomedical devices. She has managed patent portfolios for a variety of clients including academic institutions, non-profit organizations and biotechnology companies.
