Abigail Smeltzer supports clients in navigating complex real estate transactions and development projects. Her work spans a variety of matters including property acquisitions, leasing, land use, and regulatory compliance.
Before joining the firm, Abigail built a strong foundation in transactional and regulatory law through internships and externships with healthcare organizations and corporate legal departments. Her work involved researching regulatory issues and supporting transactional matters, which deepened her understanding of how healthcare operations intersect with real estate and corporate law.
Abigail earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where she focused on transactional law and regulatory issues. She holds a B.A. in Communication and Journalism from Truman State University, where she served as the Student Representative on the Board of Governors and was active in multiple honor societies and student organizations.
Outside of work, I love experimenting with new recipes and exploring St. Louis’s vibrant food scene. I also enjoy spending quality time with friends and family—and when I’m winding down, you’ll usually find me binge-reading a new fantasy book!
