As Chief Operating Officer, Allen leads the business management of Thompson Coburn. He supervises the efforts of a team of skilled business professionals responsible for the finance, technology, marketing, operations, human resources, and other business functions of the Firm.
As the ranking administrative officer, Allen works directly with the Firm Chair on internal and external business priorities. He is a member of the Firm's Executive and Management Committees and ex-officio to all other Firm committees.
Allen has served in senior leadership roles in corporations and professional services firms for more than 20 years, providing strategic guidance and leadership to C-Suite executives, business unit leaders and all levels of staff. During his career in the energy, utility and health care industries, Allen led dozens of corporate transactions totaling $8 billion; designed and executed projects that generated millions in savings and additional revenue; and engaged with global operations and commercial negotiations in Australia, England, India, Japan, Mozambique and South Africa.
