Daniel Wu represents banks and other financial institutions in complex commercial litigation, as well as business entities involved in high-stakes intellectual property disputes. His clients include national and regional banks, financial institutions, major related corporations, software companies, and a diverse array of businesses across many different industries.

Daniel prioritizes his clients' business and economic considerations, handling litigation with a straightforward method that includes:

His experience includes bank operations, business torts, breach of contract, forgeries and alterations, organized crime schemes, unfair competition and unfair business claims, creditor's rights/bankruptcy, real estate based transactions and secured transactions. He has handled the prosecution and defense of complex breach of contract, fraud, unfair business competition, trade secret and business tort claims.

He also represents business entities in high-stakes patent and intellectual property litigation, using his background in science to navigate technically complex patent matters. He has successfully represented clients in the prosecution and defense of patent infringement and invalidity matters involving software, consumer products, mechanical devices, promotional products and medical devices. He has litigated complex trademark, copyright and misappropriation of trade secret matters.

In the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, represented an automotive wheel company in claims of patent infringement. Secured full dismissal of claims based upon invalidity of the patent.

In the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, represented a global software company in claims of patent infringement by non-practicing entity and obtained dismissal of claims following an Alice motion.

In the United States District Court, Central District of California, represented a promotional products company in patent infringement claims against alleged infringers resulting in recovery of damages.

In California State Court, represented a major bank in breach of contract, business torts, and unfair competition claims from a collection agency. Secured summary judgment in favor of the bank on all claims and prevailed in the subsequent appeal before the California Court of Appeals.

In California State Court, represented a major bank in eminent domain action where the state took portions of real property collateral for a commercial loan extended to the borrower. Recovered full value of taken property and all attorneys' fees and costs, making the bank whole.

In California State Court, represented a major bank in claims of false imprisonment and violations of the Unruh Civil Rights Act involving the arrest of an individual attempting to negotiate a check. Secured summary judgment in favor of the bank on all claims.

In California State Court, repeatedly represented major banks in claims of negligence, forgery, and commercial code claims in the negotiation of forged checks drawn against the customer's account. Secured multiple dismissals of claims in each case after vigorous cross-examination of customers following depositions.

In California State Court, prevailed at trial involving breach of contract and related claims for real property located in Shanghai, China, resulting in judgment in favor of the client and awarding the client hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages, including interest.

In California State Court, repeatedly represented financial institutions providing merchant processing services against claims from merchants and securing multiple dismissal of claims without leave to amend following early dispositive motion practice.
