Dave represents and advises a host of major corporations in class action defense, complex business disputes, and state and local tax controversy. As a member of the firm's Business Litigation and Banking and Financial Services Litigation practice areas, he defends some of the nation's largest financial institutions in various types of financial services litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
Dave also has experience representing and advising clients in complex business disputes involving interpretation of service agreements, distribution agreements, and contracts for the sale of goods under the Uniform Commercial Code.
He is a member of the firm's Antitrust Practice Group and represents and advises distributors in connection with antitrust (Sherman Act Section 1 and Section 2) matters and has litigated such antitrust claims, as well as tortious interference, and breach of contract claims, and prosecution of dealer fraud.
Dave is an experienced trial lawyer. Prior to joining the firm Dave worked as an Special Assistant Public Defender in the St. Louis City Trial Office of the Missouri State Public Defenders System. During that time, Dave handled hundreds of criminal matters, advocating on behalf of indigent clients charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes. As lead counsel, he tried multiple bench and jury trials to conclusion.
