Dean Franklin has extensive first chair trial experience, limiting his practice to intellectual property and commercial litigation.
Dean focuses on complex intellectual property and commercial matters pending in federal and state courts across the country. These matters include patent infringement, copyright, trademark, misappropriation of trade secret, anti-trust and breach of contract cases. The products defended and intellectual property protected include automobile repair equipment, elevators, escalators, bridge decks, railway cars, maritime piers, medical devices, drug research, computer storage devices, cable television operations, farm equipment, and relevant computer software and hardware.
Dean is past president of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers (MODL). He is included in The Best Lawyers in America® 2016-2023 (by BL Rankings) and Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers 2008-2019 (by Thomson Reuters).
